Condition Notes: Very Good/Fine, has small tears on the spine (see pics) as well as some creasing
Story Notes:
This issue features the Death of Thanos and the conclusion of Jim Starlin’s original Thanos saga. The story begins with Spiderman being haunted by the dream of Thanos vs, the Avengers. This leads him and the Thing to take a ship into outerspace to find Thanos. After arriving, the Thing and Spiderman join the Avengers and Captain Marvel in the battle against Thanos.
Meanwhile the spirit of Adam Warlock meets with Gamora and Pip, the Troll. When he is finally released from the Soul Gem, he kills Thanos by reducing him to solid stone. The story concludes Jim Starlin’s original Thanos saga which began in Iron Man # 55 (1973). Although the Statue of Thanos would make several additional appearances, Thanos would not return to comics for over a decade.
