Mart Nodell (1915-2006) is best known as the creator of the Original Green Lantern (Alan Scott) of the Golden Age. His character was later ret-conned to be known as Earth 2 Green Lantern. In the 1960’s, Nodell worked for the Leo Burnett advertising agency, where he created the Pillsbury Doughboy
Mart Nodell’s signature on this comic book has been verified to be authentic by the Brooklyn Comic Shop.

The Phantom was created by writer Lee Falk (1911-1999). The Phantom has been featured in movie serials from the 1940's, Radio shows, Cartoon series, and a modern Live Action film in 1996. The character was one of the major influences of Batman, whose creators heavily borrowed from the Phantom.
The newspaper strip began publication in 1936 and is still published today.
