The character had previously seen publication in the United Kingdom in magazine format but had never been released to the United States public. This issue sees the first appearance and origin of Captain Britain. At the conclusion of the story appears a cameo introduction of the famous X-Men villain, Arcade. The story continues into the next issue where Arcade makes his full appearance.
