Superman vs The Amazing Spider-Man Marvel Treasury Edition (1976)
Creative Team: Gerry Conway, Stan Lee (Writer) & Ross Andru, Carmine Infantino, John Romita (Artist)
About: Battle of the Century: Superman vs The Amazing Spider-Man was the event of the decade in the 1970’s. The two giants, Marvel and DC, had never crossed over their respective universes before. The book was carefully crafted by the top comic creators from both companies. Everything was organized to be perfect. While the story was developed by Gerry Conway and art by Ross Andru, Stan lee and Roy Thomas had their say in the story and legendary Spider-Man artist, John Romita was brought in to do the face of Peter Parker to ensure the drawing was “on model.” Contributions by Neal Adams to the Superman faces went uncredited because he never even told Marvel or DC that he added his touch to the book. The cover designed by Carmine Infantino and drawn by Ross Andru is regarded as one of the greatest covers in comic history.
Condition Notes: Mid Grade Condition with cover wear. The comic is firmly attached at the staples with No Writing or No Cut Outs.
