X-Men # 1 reintroduces Magneto as the X-Men’s most formidable enemy. The story gives new motivation for Magneto’s darker side and reveals new details in his rejuvenation from Uncanny X-Men # 103.
Jim Lee’s success on Uncanny X-Men lead to Marvel Comics awarding Jim Lee his own comic series, X-Men.
