This beautiful portrait of Hawkman is hand-drawn by comic legend, Sheldon “Shelly” Moldoff. The artwork comes with a Certificate Of Authenticity (COA).
About the Artist: This Hawkman original artwork is by Sheldon “Shelly” Moldoff (1920-2012) who worked on the character in the 1940’s Golden Age of Comics. Sheldon Moldoff was one of the few artists who’s artwork appeared in Action Comics # 1 (the first appearance of Superman). He is noted for working on All-Star Comics and many of the early DC books including Hawkman, Green Lantern and the Flash. In the late 1950’s-1960’s, Moldoff is also noted for working as a ghost artist for Bob Kane on Batman Comics, co-creating Mister Freeze, Poison Ivy, Bat-Mite, Batwoman and many more. This is a one-of-a-kind original artwork by a Golden Age Comic Legend.
