These issues feature the first appearance of Mr. Sinister, leader of the Marauders. Following the Mutant Massacre storyline, Mr. Sinister sends the Marauders to kill Cyclops’s estranged wife, Madelyne Prior. This issue also features an appearance by Sabretooth that leads into the next isssue’s second Wolverine vs. Sabretooth fight in Uncanny X-Men # 222.
