This issue features the origin of Namor, the Sub-Mariner. Namor is stricken with remorse over the loss of Lady Dorma. He spends his time going over his life as Prince and later King of Atlantis. Through his memories, he recalls the loves of his life including Betty Dean and Sue Richards. He questions his life as a superhero. At the conclussion of Dorma’s funeral, the Sub-Mariner publicly renounces his throne and exiles himself from Atlantis.
