Comic Notes: New Mutants # 87 features the first full appearance of Cable. Because of the popularity of the character, Marvel released the Gold edition later on. The character was based in part on the popular Terminator films. The cover was swiped from Avengers # 145 by Rob Liefeld and Todd McFarlane.

Signature Notes: New Mutants # 87 Gold was signed by Rob Liefeld at Wizard World Philadelphia 2017 and Louise Simonson at New York Comic Con 2017.  The signature was eye-witnessed by a Brooklyn Comic Shop representative. Comes with Certificate of Authenticity (COA).
