This issue is the beginning of Neal Adams’s reinvention of Green Lantern/ Green Arrow. The Adams/O’Neil team is responsible for groundbreaking work on Batman which reinvigorated the franchise. After the cancellation of the 1960’s Batman TV Series, the comic was typecast as old fashioned and neared cancellation.
