Story Notes:
This comics contains several vingettes that take place during and after the film Star Wars: Episode I. The first begins on Tatooine. A plot is hatched in the Cantina of Mos Espa to assassinate both Sebulba and Anakin Skywalker for entering the Boonta Pod Race. Meanwhile Qui-Gon Jinn teaches Anakin a lesson about tolerance. The second story features Obi-Wan mulling over his responsibility to train Anakin after the Death of Qui-Gon. The third relates a discussion between Padme and Jar Jar Binks over Gungan help in confronting the Trade Federation.
This comic was only available as a mail in offer through Wizard Magazine. These comics were known as Wizard 1/2 issues, which featured an original story usually meant as an introduction to a new comic series. DC, Marvel, Image, and Dark Horse all participated in the monthly program to help introduce new readers to their comic lines. Usually two versions were released, the first version was the regular comic available with the mail-in offer. The second was an Enhanced version, usually Gold foil, which was available only as incentives for subscriptions and renewals, and not available as the mail-in option.
