As a writer, he partnered with artist, Joe Shuster, who created the look of the character. They began developing Superman in 1933 and pitched the comic to many publishers before seeing print in 1938. During this time, Joe Shuster became frustrated with the rejection and left the project for some time, causing Jerry Siegel to find a new artist partner. Shuster returned to Superman before the comic was picked up by DC. Action Comics # 1 (1st Superman) went on to become the highest selling book at the time and continues to be the most valuable comic to date. Dynamic Forces hired Jerry Siegel to sign a limited edition of 2000 copies of this book, which was sold by the company in the 1990’s. Dynamic Forces creator signed comics are highly sought after by collectors for the limited edition size and rare autographs.
